(Romania, °1988)
Dani Gherca belongs to the emerging generation of Romanian visual artists who share an interest in linking documentary photography with conceptual approaches.
With a focus on the 20th century, his practice centres on alternative meanings and interpretations of recent history. He is interested in the latent possibilities of history, more specifically alternative versions to real historical facts that were the starting point for some of the most dramatic events caused by man during the last century.
